Magnesium
The forms of magnesium differ in how much elemental magnesium a gram of the compound holds, solubility, tablet size and tolerance. The EU-authorised claims — such as reduced tiredness and normal muscle function — are the same for every form and show on a product from 56 mg of magnesium a day.
So compare elemental magnesium and the price of a daily dose. Filters narrow by form and dose. A full comparison of the forms is on the Magnesium page.
FAQ

There is no single best: citrate is cheaper, bisglycinate gentler on the stomach, oxide makes a small tablet.
What is elemental magnesium?
The amount of magnesium itself in the compound; reference intakes and claims are counted by it.
How much magnesium a day from supplements?
EFSA's upper level is 250 mg of magnesium a day from supplements on top of food.
Why does magnesium upset my stomach?
