Vitamin D & K2
Vitamin D is one of the best-selling supplements in Estonia and Finland: from October to March there is little sun. The dose is given in micrograms or international units, 1 µg = 40 IU. The upper limit for adults is 100 µg (4000 IU) a day from all sources.
Many products pair D3 with vitamin K2 (MK-7). People on blood thinners must ask a doctor before taking vitamin K. The authorised claims for vitamins D and K show on a product when the dose is enough.
