Protein
Protein powder is a high-protein food: a serving usually gives 20–30 g of protein. The kinds differ by source and processing: whey concentrate is the most common and least expensive, isolate is almost lactose-free, casein digests slowly, plant blends suit vegans and people with a milk allergy.
The catalogue cards show protein per serving, so products with different serving sizes are easy to compare. Filters narrow by kind of protein, flavour, diet and protein per serving. A full comparison of the kinds is on the Protein page in the ingredients section.
FAQ
Which protein should a beginner choose?
Whey concentrate is a good start: tasty and inexpensive. If lactose bothers you, take isolate; if you avoid dairy, a plant blend.
How is isolate different from concentrate?
Isolate is filtered further: 85–90 % protein and almost no lactose. Concentrate is cheaper and tastier, at 70–80 % protein.
How much protein is in a serving?
Usually 20–30 g. The exact amount is shown on each product card.
Can I drink protein without training?
Yes, it is a high-protein food, used whenever the diet is short of protein.
Is there lactose-free protein?
Isolate and hydrolysate hold very little lactose, plant proteins none. Use the lactose-free filter.
